back in BKK
Hi!
I'm back in Bangkok after 2 weeks with mom on Maui. it was a very full 2 weeks between working some on the Seafire with Don and Vicky :-) and readying mom and the condo for her emerging independence. I am sorry that i was unable to see many of you while i was there, but as Susanne reminded me, "You were here to take care of mom, not to visit friends".
So, mom is doing pretty well. She has a full leg brace on left leg and is now wlaking with toe touch weight bearing with a walker. She had had a full cast and was not very mobile, so she had been enjoying both my sisters caring for her every whim. Well, as i arrived, she exchanged her cast for a brace, got the ok for flexion of knee to 60 degrees and the PT in me came out and the month of luxury was over! I told her that if she didn't exercise, she didn't get fed. A bit harsh, but it all worked as now she is progressing well and i have left her with only part-time care and she is doing well with it. It was nice to be back on Maui, but i am very happy to be home here in Thailand.
I returned on Sunday the 29th and moved into my new apt. Little sweet studio that i will tell about when i am not so jet lagged and tired from work and all. I have a new address to mail to and a phone number besides my same cell #. So, feel free to call or write!!!
Well off to iron clothing for work tomorrow. We are in a big push for many new therapist training prgrams, so i am VERY busy at work. Yesterday we began training of 11 Thai women and 1 man to go to the Dar Es Salam spa in a month. Sweet group!
I just got internet access in my room, so will be able to blog and call from home now. Here's my info:
