update
Update…..
Here in Bangkok. Mom should be moved today to the Hale Makua rehab center where she will be prepared in how to get around, bate, etc. with her new cast. She should graduate from there in a few days, and then go home where Suss, my middle sister will care for her till end of month. Lori, my oldest sister will then arrive and care for mom for about 2 weeks. Then I will be back on Maui around May 14th when mom gets her cast off and we assess whether she is healed enough for a hinged cast or if she needs surgery or something else. I’ll probably stay for a couple of weeks and get her going in rehab and back to aqua aerobics. She will be happy to be home for sure!
I am beginning my job working with a large spa provider company to design knowledge based and training curriculum for massage/spa therapists. Also, we are opening spas in Tanzania, Dubai, etc. so am assisting in the opening of these spas by expanding our training facility to accommodate the large numbers of therapists needed.
I am still enjoying Bangkok with it’s variety of experiences. Been swimming some laps in the pool here, but it is not the ocean for sure. Dave, my buddy from Maui who has moved to Pai in the north of Thailand to settle down with his wife and new family, is in Bangkok for a visa thing. He and his wife, Won are coming to dinner tomorrow eve. It will be good to see him!
Well, boring update I know. May get out of the city this or next weekend for some adventures. Will blog again and let all know when I will be on Maui.
