day off and corrected phone # again
| Hi! It's Sunday and a day off from school. Caught a motorcycle taxi to Kata Noi beach for a beautiful day of sun and swimming, rock hopping and exploring. So pretty here, and the people so nice considering all the tourists they must cater to. There must be 95% Germans and Swedes here, and they all must have some pretty distorted body images as they try to stuff themselves into (and don't fully succeed in) tiny bikinis and Speedos-yulk. I don't think I could spend much more time here without handing out some one piece swimsuits and bathing trunks! Today was a well needed break from class this week. Those darn Thai women are so sharp that I am struggling to keep up! We have 6 more days to learn alll the prone position work and practice and take the exams-I'll be ready for another break then and plan on doing a live-a board dive trip out to the Similan Islands. People keep asking me how things are here since the Tsunami. I don't have refernence point, but what I do see, is that there are quite a few closed businesses, and empty lots full of walls of rubbish of plants and cinderblock and furniture. You can see some of the water marks high up on buildings, and lots of new paint is being applied. A big rumor was going around that yesterday there was going to be another Tsunami. Ya. Very superstitious the Thais. Remember my bowling buddies? They were here visiting. I had diiner with them one day and we had some good laughs, but I was just recovering, so didn't go bowling with them here.... Well, off to enjoy some more of my day out of doors!!!!
