Has it been almost a year?
Wow- how time flies. Decided to stay living on Maui instead of moving to New Zealand, and here I am preparing for another trip! It has been a year full of living...
I have worked as a PT in home health and aquatics, worked on the snorkeling boat occasionally and at the massage school supervising once per week. Mom is doing great!!! She has been accompanying Lola, Taddy (friend) and I on our morning walks along Sugar Beach. She is still doing water aerobics 3 times per week but had a couple of weeks off after having some small skin cancers removed from face and arms. She now wears a long-sleeved shirt! Lola is ok, although missing living up in Kula (we rented there for 6 months) where she had run of the neighborhood with bright stars and more wild smells. She enjoys her wave chasing at the beach! We are now at mom's as in December I had a left shoulder rotator cuff repair surgery and have been rehabbing since. Too slow for me, but it IS healing and am back to some light functional activities now. Have had some visitors: Reggie, Tam and Dana, and Shawna- nice! Have been tried emotionally this year with love-life. Am on my way to healing from that; friends and family remind me to hold to my standards and not settle for less than honesty and loving care in my relationships. AND great news...... travels again! Off to Honolulu tomorrow and then to Bali on Friday. Will be traveling with friend, Danny, whom I have known from volleyball for many years. A good travel buddy I am sure.
