Christmas in Tucson

Hi all!
Merry Christmas!
Wow, has it ever been a long time since i was last blogging!!! Been waiting to settle a bit, and I am getting there now. Well, for a short while I guess- you know -a rolling stone gathers no moss...

So, news here-
Lola and I arrived in Tucson in late November after spending Thanksgiving Day with Tamara, Dana and her mom and George in LA. We have been welcomed into my friend and ex-landlady, Benita's, house where her 5 Japanese Chins and old Bouvier terrorized Lola for a week before she finally got used to them and they to her. My catering job turned out to be a joke-guess the owner has some problems-so Benita helped me to get a job with her company. I struggled, fanagled, pleaded, promised cookies etc., with the HI and AZ PT boards and last week got my AZ PT license, so now I am a physical therapist working in Assisted Living facilities with the elderly. LOVE the people, coworkers are great, but gobs of redundant paperwork- BLAH!

Lola and I are moving next week to the country. We are renting a nice 1 BR house about 15 miles SE of Tucson. It's 3.6 miles on a decent dirt road on 5 acres. It is boarding Nat Park and BLM land, so great for our hiking! I am looking forward to living surrounded by stars and coyote howls and even those pesky javelina!

My cell phone does not work out there, but I will have a regular phone. My numbers are:

H: 520 647-7170
C: 520 664-8650

My physical and UPS address is:
7641B S. Pistol Hill Rd.
Vail, AZ 85641

Don't have a mailing address yet as I have to get to the post office to get a box and haven't had time yet.

I am going out there today to do some cleaning and to drop some things off, so I will take some photos and put them on a blog. The nice landladies will be putting in new carpeting this week sometime, so should be moving in next weekend (New Year's).

Well, it is another beautiful but chilly day here, so I am going to go out hiking and to the new house now.

My thoughts are with you all!!!!!
Take care-
Monica Monk
