Rotorua and Taupo

Wow! Am pretty high just now! Today was a beautiful day- clear and sweet upon awakening in Rotorua. Took an early morning dip in the mineral pools and set out for Taupo. Stopped for coffee ann carrot cake at a sweet (Honey Place) cafe, sat in the sun and got an urge to go skydive. Called up a place and they said, yah- come on over for an 11:45 jump.
Went theere and suited up and with about 5 others jupers and ourt tandem guides, juped from the plane at 15,000 feet. I loved it, except for the ice cold and plugged ears of the free fall part, amazing to play over beautiful Lake Taupo. Ga photo and the DVD too, so proof! Then came to town, and then hiked/ran 2 hours to Huku Falls, came back to town, got out of the sweaty clothes, grabbeed "Pure Blond" beer from the fridge of the totally cool van that I live in, and am here emailing, blogging and Skyping. Going to phone mom for mom's day next. AND, then will head to the hot springs cmaping resort for a soak!!!
What a day!!!
Am posting a couple of photos- am trying to shrink things- not working too well, but here are some. And for the finale, is news- I have met a wonderful Kiwi man, Mike who has been joining me for some of my/our travels when not working in Auckland.
Well, poting photos next. Off to Wellington tomorrow and then to the South Island!
